Hi! My thinking on that was that there are much easier ways to do that than some little bit of tech that only has one purpose. I'm sure S.H.I.E.L.D. could come up with something more efficient than that. Don't you think? I think the real reason it was in the movie was because it was 1) Flashy and more importantly 2) Gruesome, thus cementing the idea that, even though you may empathize with him at times, Loki is a ruthless psychopath.
Well, yes that’s probably why it’s there- to be a neat & scary gizmo. But you did ask why Loki would have it. Then again, I’m a pedant. ;D
Do you ever think about how weird it is that Loki had designed technology specifically to transmit a holographic eyeball at great distances to get past security with retinal scans?

OMG, poptarts can be microwaved!! Is this a thing people actually do??!
I actually tried it once. They’re not great microwaved.

Take unfrosted Poptarts- strawberry is pretty much all they sell now- butter the tops & microwave for 15-20 seconds, so the butter melts into the top.
Let cool for 30 seconds so you don’t melt your tongue. Enjoy.
